  1. High level kills for viruses and bacteria
    Users of disinfectants in human health/laboratory and life science environments require maximum protection from the use of a disinfectant with proven independent microbiological test certification and these requirements are now entering the home also with outbreaks occurring with the general public. Many disinfectants require strong dilutions for critical risk areas like Parvovirus or TB, yet are marketed for use at much weaker dilutions for “broad spectrum activity”, putting both the organisation and patients at risk of cross infection. SteriGENE users can rely on one dilution (1:100) for broad spectrum activity (supported by independent testing) in high-risk conditions against viruses, mycobacteria, fungi and bacterial organisms and another for economic general-purpose disinfection (1:200) in intermediate risk areas. Under our test results we have effective results against even the most hard to kill viruses, parvovirus and picorna virus at a log 4 kill rate and above.
  2. Completely Deactivates COVID-19 Virus
    SteriGENE was tested against Human Coronavirus under US Environmental Protection Agency and Health Canada standards at a dilution ratio of 1:100. As a result of the trial SteriGENE achieved a complete deactivation of Human Coronavirus under the testing conditions. This was an amazing result as it means that no part of the virus survived the disinfection testing process.
  3. Most Effective Disinfectant Available
    At the heart of the all-new SteriGENE formula are the micro-emulsion particles that enable the active ingredient molecules in the product to be carried rapidly through cell walls of micro-organisms. Rapid penetration of cell walls by the powerful SteriGENE disinfectant ensures cell death is equally rapid. SteriGENE works up to 70% quicker than conventional high-level disinfectants and achieves apoptosis (cell death) rather than merely suspending activity as with conventional disinfectant products. SteriGENE is able to rely on lower levels of active ingredients than previously used, due to the formulation’s revolutionary method of delivering diluted disinfectant to the cells of micro-organisms. The simple prokaryotic cellular structure of micro-organisms provides little resistance to the active ingredients of SteriGENE but the hugely more complex eukaryotic structure of the mammalian cell membrane means SteriGENE is not cyto-toxic to mammalian tissue. Using the new system in the presence of human and animal skin is therefore of low risk.
  4. Bio-degradable and Non-Corrosive
    Independent laboratory testing demonstrates no corrosion or deterioration of the following materials, even after long-term repeated immersions: Rubber compounds, Plastics, Fibreglass, Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Aluminium, Copper, Brass and other materials found in clinical practice, in particular synthetic floors, instruments and devices. We also had biodegradability studies done on the product and it attained a 116% degradation after 28 days; which is the same as fruit and vegetables, along with any CO2 detected from the test vessels dissolved by day 29. This trial was done in a facility operating to Good Laboratory Practice in the UK. The degradation of the 16% over 100% is due to an increase in the numbers of viable micro-organisms in the test material vessel as a result of the readily biodegradable nature of the test material.
